@njemurray.bsky.socialAbsolutely rollicking performance by Birmingham Legion in attack to get a 4-4 draw. Once again the what-if of the side being unable to hold a lead, but thoroughly entertaining. #USL-C
@sagafood.bsky.socialOk Birmingham Legion, I see you. New Mexico's coach was having some feelings at the end of that one 🤣 #USL
@njemurray.bsky.social10-player Charlotte Independence are back level thanks to Reudd Manin. That ties the #USL-1 single-season record with 61 goals this campaign for the Independence.
@njemurray.bsky.socialOh, Legion! (complimentary) #USL-C Three-goal comeback to make it 4-4 in second-half stoppage time, and genuinely deserved from the flow of the game in the past 20 minutes.
@njemurray.bsky.socialBang that drum, Denys Kostyshyn. Athletic Club Boise takes the lead in front of the supporter section early in the second half. #USL-1
@njemurray.bsky.socialOh, Legion. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialDenis Krioutchenkov with a goal and assist off the bench, scoring the late game-winner for #TOOK.
Puts the pressure on Athletic Club Boise to win tonight to remain in the top four in the #USL-1 standings.
@njemurray.bsky.socialSpecial guest at Athletic Club Boise tonight - #USMNT legend Landon Donovan, who can't believe Tumi Moshobane headed over.
Donovan and AC Boise Head Coach Nate Miller worked together at San Diego Loyal SC during the club's time in the #USL-C.
@njemurray.bsky.socialOne Knoxville didn't record an official shot until the 67th minute. Then Momo Diop and Teddy Baker scored 86 seconds apart to pull the side level on the road at Fort Wayne FC. #USL-1
@njemurray.bsky.socialMeanwhile, over on @cbssportsgolazo-m.bsky.social, Athletic Club Boise and the Charlotte Independence are getting ready to kick off.
This should be plenty of fun in #USL-1.
@njemurray.bsky.socialAnd now New Mexico United's ahead through Niall Reid-Stephen. This would put Legion on course to sit on 27 points dropped from winning positions, one off the #USL-C single-season high of 28 recorded twice by Las Vegas Lights FC (2018, 2021).
@njemurray.bsky.socialAnd just like that, New Mexico United equalizes. It's like clockwork, really. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialRomario Williams getting on track has been tremendous for Birmingham Legion - he's now got six goals in the past five games.
Now #HammerDown has to consolidate. They've dropped 24 points from winning positions this season, most in the #USL-C.
@njemurray.bsky.socialThe Kickers have now scored two goals in the opening six minutes of the second half, because of course they have. (There's been one 5-5 draw in #USL-1 history previously.)
@njemurray.bsky.socialWestchester SC has posted the second five-goal first half in #USL-1 history. Timofey Timchenko - ⚽(14') Conor McGlynn - ⚽(16'), ⚽ (34') Jonathan Jiménez - ⚽ (37), ⚽ (39) Dean Guezen - 🍎(16'), 🍎(37'), 🍎 (39')
@njemurray.bsky.socialGoing to repeat what I said earlier this season - Augi Williams needs to bring back the blonde top. Should have had at least one goal that half, Hartford much more on top than the 1-0 scoreline indicates. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialJordan Scarlett, goal machine. That's his third of the season, a single-season best, and Hartford takes the lead. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialThis is a genuinely nice piece of play by Sporting Club Jacksonville, but Emil Jääskeläinen shanks his finish wide of the left post. Shame, really. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialICYMI last night, #USL-C President Jeremy Alimbaugh was guest on #USL All Access last night, direct from the Board of Governors meeting.
Lots to dig into - ratified CBA, revenue sharing, broadcast deals.
@njemurray.bsky.socialWith today's win, @unionomaha.bsky.social puts the pressure on both the Charlotte Independence and @forwardmadisonfc.bsky.social to respond tonight in the #USL-1 Players' Shield race.
Charlotte's game tonight at Athletic Club Boise (9 p.m. ET | CBS Sports Golazo Network) will be worth watching.
