France have pulled one back!!
Kenza Dufour brings France back to life! Can they pull a remarkable comeback?
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialCanada's third. A hattrick for Kaylee Hunter. The lovely assist was from Sariyah Bailey.

Unbelievable Thursday of football we got!
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialGoal Nigeria!

75' England 0-3 Nigeria
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialGoal Canada!
A third for Kaylee Hunter. A long ball is nicely touched on for Hunter's straight down the middle of the French defense. Hunter does well to round the keeper to finish her chance in the empty net.

KAYLEE HUNTER HAS A HAT-TRICK!!!
Canada running riot over France 3-0!!
Still 2-0 Nigeria leading over England!
Anybody saw this coming?
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialNigeria are looking very composed in this second half. They were gifting England some dangerous freekicks and the penalty with stray tackles and the like. That's ended, and England are really struggling to play through the defense.
Nigeria have contained England while remaining a threat.
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialEngland almost gifted Nigeria a third.
Off a goalkick England play out of the back, but Katie Cox had a heavy touch and she barely beats the closing Nigerian attacker to the ball. The Nigerian player got a touch, but the ball drifted wide to and England defender.
62' England 0-2 Nigeria
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialNigeria's second goal. Scored by Akekoromowei.

Lionesses shocked and in trouble now!!
Remains 2-0 Canada leading France in the other match.
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialGoal Nigeria!
They double their lead on the corner. It's headed on to the back post, and Akekoromowei volleys it home!
48' England 0-2 Nigeria
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialBoth matches are underway in the second half.
Nigeria and France have earned early corners in their respective matches.
~48' in both
England 0-1 Nigeria
France 0-2 Canada
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialTrying to get a couple nice Uzoma saves, including the penalty save. Missed them live. But FS2 just cut the first-half highlights in right, right on a nice Uzoma save, to cut to commercial. Thanks, FS2.
Telemundo will come through but will have to wait of them to upload to YouTube.

Nigeria 1-0 England
Canada 2-0 France
@thebestisjeff.bsky.socialHalf time in both matches.
England 0-1 Nigeria
France 0-2 Canada
Two upsets on the cards. England have definitely been more likely to come back, but Nigeria have caused them problems throughout. They are very much looking to grow their lead. France has looked poor, overall.
