Some NFYs were a pair of Blair’s and a couple of Beadies

New for the garden (+square) and Clancy’s Rustic has finally made an appearance here, distributing well this year…by the looks of it #teammoth
VC33 5/10/26
Moth of the day has to be this NFM/NFG #495 Plumed Fan-foot.
It’s not just new for the tetrad, but Hectad too. In fact not too many records in the VC.
A juvenile Goshawk languidly circled the garden as I breakfasted. Maybe the same one from last month?
Marvel of the day was, well…NFG #494 Merveille du Jour.
An absolutely box-fresh slice of Mint Choc-chip if ever I saw one.
Another Moth I’ve only ever previously seen at Lakenheath.
It’s also new for the tetrad. 🔲
Quite decent numbers despite the fact that the timer didn't work and I lit up manually at 11pm! #teamMoth
51 moths of 14 species, 12 of those were Lunar Underwing. 8 Clancy's Rustic...amazing how well that "rarity" is doing these days
Dissapointed I couldn’t trap on Saturday, so was very keen last night. What a trap! Next to nothing in it, but nearly all goodies.
NFG #493 Autumnal Rustic is one I’ve only ever seen at Lakenheath, and one I hoped to get here one day. It’s new for the tetrad. 🔲
I do love a bit of public toilet mothing! 😂
Today, a new moth for me, The Streak... #teammoth
Carefully washed takeaway containers. All I need now is a really big moth to put in one! 😆 #teammoth
A bit more like it from the Blakeney Point moth trap this morning, with 113:24. Two NFY - Brick and Beaded Chestnut. Two seconds in Kent Black Arches (previous Point record in 2009) and Scarce Bordered Straw (for my year). Also rans in Pine Carpet, Delicate, Clancy’s, and 8 SMW. #TeamMoth
Finally, one of my most wanted garden moths put in an appearance last night 4/10/26, and only the 2nd record for St Helens, a smart looking Merveille du Jour, well pleased. #Teammoth #StHelensBirding
Another unexpected moth in the trap this morning in mid Cheshire was this dark form Box-tree moth. The warm overcast conditions brought out a few nice moths. #teammoth
Surprised to find this pristine Brimstone next to the garden trap in mid Cheshire this morning. One I hadn't expected, adding some colour. #teammoth
Two county rares amongst a catch of 72/15 was a good result from a cloudy night at #salopobs. Scarce Bordered Straw and Delicate, both lovely moths and immaculate #teammoth #salopmoths @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
Green brindled crescent and november moth agg.
Botton @teesbirds.bsky.social #TeamMoth
2nd Delicate for the garden (last was in June), otherwise just a Dark Chestnut NFY. #TeamMoth
a very odd little find, nowhere near the UV lights (or any lights - this is an old disused lantern).
funereal duskywing (Erynnis funeralis)
lifer, I'm pretty sure
green was apparently the color of the evening!
#bugsky #teammoth #orthoptera #heteroptera
green stink bug (Chinavia hilaris)
Mexican bush katydid (Scudderia mexicana)
Calif. angle-winged katydid (Microcentrum californicum)
