This one for general vibes as a camera pans through the morning streets of The Silks ending in Innani’s garden to reveal [redacted] at the end of OBT chapter 11.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 23:

I play this whenever I start a good writing sesh:
Loreena McKennitt's "Sun, Moon, and Stars"

It's more about the setting... Which is vaguely Andalusian.

This is what's going on in Pyra's head sometimes.

There's an instrumental version of Besame Mucho with a Spanish guitar which fits Anything You Want as a whole book even though I only used it in my playlist for a specific scene. It's sensual, hot, and slow. #SongsofSeptember #RH #Romancebooks #WriterSky #AnythingYouWant

There're some purely instrumental pieces for particular characters at certain moments, but not many overarching ones. Closest is probs Nine Inch Nails' "A Warm Place": youtu.be/Yld7Fs-VfRE?..., which fits the muzzy, horny atmosphere; complex relationships; & underlying horror well.

Adding in the main portion of THANATOS this time. It's somber, it drags on, & at the end begins to spiral. Perfect for those times of helplessness & desperation Aurora goes through, especially near the end of the story.

This fits both the vibe of Brother’s Keeper and serves as its love theme. This Galician tune is lovely and goes through some interesting changes.

#SongsOfSeptember 23. Oh, so many. I'm going with one of the many great songs I discovered while listening to Asian instrumental playlists. I love the soft and contemplative tone, with that dose of wonder, that this has. The title, "Master and Disciple", fits both Books 1 & 2.

I have so, SO many of these! They're great for background listening while writing.

Today I'll share Uepeker from Okami, one of Shiho's themes and very appropriate for her storyline. Lonely, kind of melancholy, but still driven and hopeful. music.youtube.com/watch?v=ysJK...

Missed a few days but I'm back!

For #Tenement, I have a few kind of eerie, unsettling instrumental tracks in my playlist. Let's go with this one from THE GREEN KNIGHT ost because it really hits that escalating unease & tension:

This one fits our cold, aloof, Jae's story arc in No Shame. As a highborn seelie from an ambitious family, he belongs to the Golden Court in the most sickening way.

But he falls in love with a demon & a glitch, who both give him a taste of hope...

#SongsofSeptember Day 23: Instrumental Song

I already used "The Ecstasy of Gold" 😅

Another piece that I do associate with the same scene "Ecstasy" plays during though is "Witches" by Daughter: link.deezer.com/s/34tNstIx5c...

So this was shockingly easy.

In his research journey across Europe for their movies, Hayao Miyazaki stumbled onto the Welsh mining communities during the strikes. Their close bonds in the fight against Thatcher inspired Pazu's village.

23) Instrumental song

An instrumental piece that fits the tone of animal pilots who fight aliens with the power of friendship?

Yep, you guessed it, it's going to be Star Fox. It could only ever be Star Fox.

I’m tempted to stick all of Gustav Holst’s The Planets here, since it runs through several of the planetary influences; but since I’m working on a scene that’s essentially the New Year and festive, I’ll share “Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity”

I feel like this one fits the best, out of the selection of instrumental songs I have left in my playlists

(also phenomenal performed live btw)

I could probably choose dozens of Lindsey Stirling pieces, but "Eye of the Untold Her" comes the closest to matching tone and story: youtu.be/rWwfyzX2OeM?....

There are no words for how beautiful this composition is.
