I ask for 3ish things every season: 1) Beat/finish above DC, 2) beat/finish above the Smurfs, 3) make a reasonable run in the playoffs. It’s currently an iffy-ish season for all. But on the night we got 3 pts, and we’re at the moment we’re looking down at the little brothers, so you know…win #RBNY

#RBNY four match road trip:

D at SEA
L at LAFC
W at CLB
W at NYC

7 of 12 points

Shame Julian Hall won't be around for too many more Hudson River Derbies.

It's okay though. He's meant for greater things.

If someone told me "NY Red Bulls will get 7 points on their 4-match road trip." I would have told them to stop smoking crack.

But here we are.

NY is Red baby!

#MLS #RBNY

Fantastic win. Kind of shocking really. You can say that the Smurfs gave it away with the mistake, but really the team has been in battle mode the last two games. They are still giving looks that I’d like to see us shut down, but to come out conceding 0 in 180 and 6 pts is *chefs kiss #RBNY

FINAL
New York City FC 0-1 Red Bull New York

The Hudson River Derby trophy is coming back to Harrison! A higher intensity second half sees #RBNY come out on top over #NYCFC. Goal from Julian Hall, assist by James Sands. NYC tried to equalize but Ethan Horvath stood tall.
#NYCSN

Horvath is playing like the GK #RBNY needs going down the stretch.
Bazan is massive in the back
Another Clean Sheet
Once again not pretty, but they get the job done and get over the line.
ONWARDS

A big blue blunder gives Hall a layup and a MASSIVE 1-0 #RBNY win over NYCFC.

Your thoughts on this huge win???

90+3' Choupo-Moting skies a chance to double the Red Bull lead.

We were desperate to give up a goal there with some of the choices we made trying to clear the ball. Shocking we didn’t wind up level #RBNY

Whoever keeps telling Ethan Horvath that Pochetino's in the stands for the game tonight… keep telling him that.

90+2' AMAZING SAVE BY ETHAN HORVATH TO KEEP THE RED BULL LEAD.

Our pressing patterns ask our wingers to be in too many places at once, which gives the opposition a consistent out ball on the far side. A quick swing is all it takes to find it. If you can be chasing an open man in 2 passes something isn’t right in poor press set up #RBNY
