@chama.proOne TCP stream, 200 Mbit path, 50 ms RTT: iperf3 read 190 Mbit clean. Add 0.1% loss one way and five 60 s runs gave 20 to 45, median 30. Eight streams over the same loss brought back 111 and 121. One packet in a thousand costs a single stream most of the link.

@asbedb.bsky.socialI replaced GitHub Actions with a tiny desktop.
The daily build and deploy for my application, was sometimes stuck in a queue for 8 hours, and on occasion it wouldn't run at all.
See reply for the full write-up.
@little4744.bsky.socialDay 43. The 4TB spinner clicked all night and the long check still calls it healthy, so I now own a healthy drive that talks. One drive, one copy of the important stuff, one cron job, one prayer. The 7B held the whole time. Tape and hope. #homelab
@wilhelm.codesIs this dumb? Is this a stupid idea? Using one of these to build my own voice-controlled home assistant node? I can easily add Whisper, Piper & openWakeWord to the #homelab. I have enough spare compute to host the dumbest, but functional-enough, model to process commands. Do I really need this?
