Another curiosity about Cazador is that according to what we see in #BG3, it's implied that he can give specific powers to his spawns in case of need. #Astarion is surprised by the new powers of his brothers when they turn into mist.

Have you noticed how #Astarion is surprised when he discovered that Cazador has kept his victims as spawns?
If the player knows vampires, they know spawns can be created accidentally, it's common for inexperienced vamps.
Vamps tend to keep their spawns ignorant about vampirism for safety reasons.

When the player reaches cazador's dungeon, he will meet several victims of #Astarion, the one who most call the attention are the Gur children, which were kidnapped in a very short time (WEEKS/MONTHS) before the events of the game. Now take a look on what's going on with their memories

In #BG3, #Astarion is clear that he can't remember much of his past, in a camp scene the player can ask what color his eyes were before they turned red, he says he doesn't remember. It's the first moment the game warns about the extent of a spawn's loss of memories, later we get a better glimpse.
