Nothing to do with gin, we're afraid, but housed a horse-powered engine!

Beaumaris Courthouse.
Built 1614, making it one of the oldest working or surviving courthouses in Britain. It hosted Quarter Sessions, Assize Courts, and magistrate hearings until 1971, handling everything from petty theft to major murder trials.

For #AdoorableThursday, the door to the famous stairs leading to the Chapter House in Wells Cathedral. Often overlooked but standing guard not just to the stairs but also - at the time of my visit - a blue dragon!
