I’m also frustrated with Coco, because we had an entire volume dedicated to her affirming her trust in Qifrey, and then the next arc she suddenly refuses to go to him for help.

I really really dislike this arc. And it’s so freaking long too.

Also, SPOILERS, I kinda hate the development with Custas, because why is a kid who literally learned to write a few weeks ago suddenly capable of drawing intricate spells? We’ve established that the simplest spells take a lot of practice. This breaks the worldbuilding continuity.

Finished Vol. 9. It’s entirely a me problem, but I like #WitchHatAtelier less when it’s so focused on the kids. All the emotions are so raw and often lack nuance (obviously they’re kids), and I much prefer the subtlety we get with Qifrey. He’s been put in the background these past two volumes.

I’m kind of speeding through these volumes, but it’s the only way I know to avoid getting spoiled. Unfortunately, the algorithm gods have figured out this new interest of mine and are throwing content at me about things that happen much later in the series.
