本日の #朝ラン 。
まずはいつもの海っぷちを15キロ。
雨降る予報じゃないのに、かなりガッツリ降られる。
かなりびっちょり。
その後、当面の間休止に入る予定の臨港パーク #parkrun に

Having a week in County Clare on the west coast. Today the weather is appalling. Only run since last #parkrun was yesterday in drizzle and high winds. Makes for amazing coastal experiences though.

No Worthing #parkrun for the next five weeks due to heat network construction on the Prom.

Typical - was planning to go for the first time in a couple of months 🙄

High Street Energy Hub • Closure of filter lane for High Street MSCP filter lane closure. Two-way access will be maintained by removing the traffic island. • Relocation of High Street bus stop - check the Stagecoach and Compass Travel websites for further information. • Footpath diversion for pedestrians travelling along the west side of High Street. Steyne Gardens • Works will not commence until after the Worthing Food and Drink Festival on 12-13 September 2026. • Northern section of Steyne Gardens occupied. Normal access maintained to southern sections of the Gardens, including the Sensory Gardens. Promenade • Works area located on the western footpath of the Promenade. • Access along the Promenade will be maintained, with clearly signed pedestrian routes provided throughout the works. • Some localised restrictions and temporary changes to pedestrian routes may be required as the works progress.Worthing parkrun The next phase of the Worthing Heat Network has started. The nature of this phase will mean major disruptions on small sections of the prom and the start of our course, meaning we have to pause our event for a while. This is due to happen all the way up to October Half Term and will therefore require at least 5 weeks of cancellations. Thankfully there are hundreds of parkruns all over the UK each Saturday so why not use this as an opportunity to tick off some of those tourism challenges. We will provide further updates as soon as possible but in the meantime, we hope to see you at another local parkrun, and please consider some volunteer tourism too.

Last long run (I hope!) before the HM - 10.4 miles from the Château royal de Blois to Château de Beauregard (& back). Suffered with the heat & certainly slower than I’d like but hopefully I have done enough. May stick to parkruns for awhile after the race! #running #parkrun

Showery today. The garden will love the sup. I got on my bike with my friend. Showers didn't bother us.
Two more days until my Wexford Racecourse #parkrun return. Yes it is a (horse) racecourse. For Saturday, my since mid-July will be steady. Very steady. 😜

It looks like I missed a soggy parkrun this week - well done to the 101 hardy people that braved the weather! The rain didn't stop Eleanor Caine completing her 100th parkrun though & Ian McClellan picked up his 50th volunteer credit too. Well done both! As an aside, Ian will be debuting as Run Director this coming Saturday so let's have some order in the house no crazy dog leads, broken legs or fall outs thank you I'm sure he's going to smash it!

There will be NO #parkrun update from me this week. I am missing my first one in 2 years. Why, you ask, well, I have entered Swim Serpentine, so will be swimming in a lake instead. Am I bonkers... yes!
