We’re in the final stages of the 18th c breeches - I sewed the split waistband and hem bands today, then inserted the eyelets and lacing into the back waistband pieces. Then covered 9 buttons & sewed the buttonholes, leaving just the buttons to hand sew in place tomorrow… 🥳

The price of thread has more than doubled in the last 5 years. I was completely shocked at a $16/spool price tag today when I needed a color I didn’t already own.

I bought this set of 12 colors in 2021 and it was $90 ($7.50/spool). It’s $190 now. 😭😱
