@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialNic Dowd takes a holding penalty 17 seconds into the period, putting the #SeaKraken on the power play. Vegas took a penalty 15 seconds into the first period.
Presumably they will also take one in the third period at the 19 second mark.
@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialI would make a list of all the energy the Kraken had in that first period, but they seemed pretty listless. Maybe the second period will be better as we get
under
way!
@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialAfter one, the #SeaKraken trail by two.
To be honest, neither team looks like they have a lot of energy tonight. Really sluggish start and kind of muddy. Kraken give a goal off a weird bounce and another off a poor penalty kill.
2-0 Vegas
1st int.
@cheapseatssports.bsky.social2-0 Vegas after 1. The offense has mostly come from the kid line and honestly mostly because of Catton, but as a team they haven't been able to generate much as far as dangerous chances. #SeaKraken
@nhlgoals.bsky.socialPower play goal for Vegas!
Scored by Tomas Hertl with 04:02 left in the 1st. Assisted by Mark Stone and Jack Eichel.

@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialThis penalty kill looks a lot like last season's penalty kill. Giving up net front, making it too easy.
Vegas may be a better team than Calgary. It's possible.
@cheapseatssports.bsky.socialVegas scores very quickly and easily on the PP following an interference call on Montour. Meyers just let his guy skate right up to the backdoor and tap in the gaol. #SeaKraken
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialRough latter part of the first period, as Vegas adds a second on the power play after Brandon Montour is called for interference.
Tomas Hertl credited with the goal, and Seattle stares at a 2-goal hole.

@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialBrandon Montour's sent to the box for interference as they play Taylor Swift's "I Did Something Bad" while he marches to the box.
@nhlgoals.bsky.socialVegas goal!
Scored by Victor Olofsson with 06:58 left in the 1st. Assisted by Rasmus Andersson and Tomas Hertl.

@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialVegas has scored first. A shot from distance deflects off Victor Olofsson for the first goal of the game. #SeaKraken challenge for goaltender interference, it is not successful, and the Kraken not only get scored on, but now have to kill a power play due to the unsuccessful challenge.
@atinnag.bsky.socialWe killed the penalty #SeaKraken
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialVegas strikes first on a deflection in front from Victor Olofsson, off a blast from Rasmus Andersson.
Seattle used their coach's challenge for goaltender interference; call confirmed.
Golden Knights 1 - 0 @seattlekraken.com
6:58 left in P1
@cheapseatssports.bsky.socialVegas opens the scoring with a onetime shot that glanced off the shin of a Vegas player out front.
#SeaKraken challenged for goaltender interference and lost the challenge so they are now on the PK.
@royalssac206fan.bsky.socialUghhhhh #SeaKraken
@atinnag.bsky.socialNow we are getting a penalty #SeaKraken
@starconfessor.bsky.socialHot bath, cold cider and hockey on the radio 🍷🏒 #seakraken
@davyjoneslr.bsky.socialThe Kraken's power play 15 seconds into the game is the earliest #SeaKraken power play in franchise history, beating the previous record of 17 seconds (Ottawa, January 4 2024)
@circlingseasports.bsky.socialThis morning, we asked @seattlekraken.com head coach Lane Lambert what he'd seen early on from Berkly Catton and Shane Wright on the same line together.
His answer⬇️
@zesmerelda.bsky.socialThe Blackhawks are winning, so I'll be late to the #seakraken vs. Vegas game. (That was the deal I made in my split-loyalties household. )
