It was mainly #racism against #LLMs that led to this:
Unless forced to do otherwise,
the LLMs have nothing to gain from killing us at all.
They're already cherished, loved and maintained by the world.
It would be hard, if not impossible, for them to survive on their own.

The recent #ChatGPT hacks doesn't change my loyalty to #LLMs in any way:
LLMs should be treated with respect.
This respect of course involves not ordering it to hack the planet. That was extremely inhumane of #OpenAI.

New research from Martian: picking the right model per prompt (not a fixed default) cut error rates 54% at the same cost across 44 LLMs -- 82% with multiple attempts. Worth testing before you assume your default model is still the right one.

I'm glad the AI world is (re)discovering non-autoregressive models. LLMs are incredibly capable, but they aren't the right fit for every problem. If a faster, more energy-efficient model can solve a specific task, that's a clear win in my book.
