At the end of every season, this quote comes back to me, and brings a tear.Especially this weekend ,when the chill rains have already arrived.

Even the crappiest season in recent memory is better than no season at all.🥹

Final game of the season. Not what we all hoped for but the rookies were a shining light in the darkness. Today’s first pitch was moved up to 1:05pm in the hopes that it can beat out the rain. Manaea v Herz.
Let’s go Mets! I am going to miss my baseball watching routine. #MetsSky #LGM

Good morning #MetsSky. Final game of the year always brings sadness, especially when we don't make the playoffs. It's even sadder for those of us who can't watch because of stupid blackout rules. If nothing else, let the new CBA do away with this stupidity. #LGM & let the off-season rumors begin.

As the 2026 Mets season comes to an end today, I’ve struggled to find the right words to truly capture this lost season.
Then I remembered:
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Yeah… I think this one says it all. 😬

If a team with a $350 million dollar payroll has to rely on tanking for the draft lottery to save its future, that team is ass. #mlb #lgm

Hockey season for me. I pay very little attention to football. Rangers open on Tuesday. Saw 2 Mets Championships and 1 Rangers Championship. Hopefully, I see 1 more each in the next 15 (?) years I hope to have left.

Woooohoooo!! #Mets win!! 7-1!! #LGM!! (I wasn’t home to watch the game live but I saw the final score) I am, however, watching the replay now. 😁

Although the team was worse this year—after the way the season started, we never had a legitimate shot at the playoffs—I think it is ending with a more optimistic feeling. Our young players, especially our young pitchers and Carson Benge, give me hope for the future. #LGM

Place it in the publication! #LGM

I like it. Add one stabilizing veteran next season via trade or free agency, keep Manaea around for depth, and there's some definite reason for optimism in 2027 when it comes to pitching. #lgm

Let's get this one over with. #LGM

Benigno’s shtick is tiresome. Guy is a 🤡
