NOAA has a G2 storm watch for Oct 9: a CME from Oct 6 is due. If it arrives on time, aurora is possible late Thursday night across the northern US and Canada, and Friday evening from Tasmania and southern NZ. Timing can slip by hours.

There are 2 slow #solarstorms on the way to Earth, erupting on early Tuesday Oct 6 and predicted to arrive Friday Oct 9. The predicted arrival times spread 01:00 UT to 16:00 UT on Oct 9. Given their slow speed (400-500 km/s), high-latitude #aurora is possible, but not likely for lower latitudes.
