Massive sheets of water cascade dramatically over a sheer cliff face into a deep gorge. A dense mist or spray rises from the bottom of the falls, partially shrouding the landscape in a soft haze.

This photo shows Minnehaha Falls, a famous 53-foot waterfall located within Minnehaha Regional Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The image captures the rushing white waters plummeting over a curved limestone cliff into a creek bed below. Lush green trees and thick summer foliage completely surround the gorge, framing the waterfall. Directly above the crest of the falls, a stone pedestrian bridge spans the creek, allowing park visitors to cross over and view the drop from above.
