And the propaganda against the Sixties Generation and its values, repeated endlessly over the decades, led to a media narrative that conservative ideas were winning and that, indeed, progressivism and idealism were silly impulses of a narcissistic generation. Whereas the opposite was what was actually true, such a narrative remains to this day, propped up by moneyed interests because it is convenient for their ends if the populace believes that. And by the way, if progressives cannot win according to moderate Democrats, and the example of McGovern in 1972 is given, how is it that Barrack Obama won in the greatest Democratic landslide in half a century? Why not rise and reach forth to new and inclusive thought that embraces the facts of existence, instead of a kind of thinking that requires either a psychic numbing to the avalanche of new evidence or a thick and sturdy guard against information from all but thoroughly sanctioned and sanitized, perfectly safe and riskless, or intractably bureaucratized sources? I must point out that by now many scientists, of diverse fields, have abandoned the old model long ago and, at this point, consider its inadequacy to be well-nigh common knowledge. Having been over to the new paradigm a while, they feel it to be familiar territory; they find it useful (after all!), stable, workable, and even pleasurable terrain. They await the rest of us in the adventure of splicing or merging our insights about an explanatory framework that has room for the evidence of the new techniques and sciences; and thereby blowing away the door jammed, opening it wide to the next new phase of discovery of the nature of reality that is called the scientific enterprise. It focuses on Divinity as being inherent, which means that one reaches the truth on one’s own, one is healed by surrender not by fee to a professional.

George W. Bush-League Players To set the stage, I feel it is illuminating to relate an event I vividly remember seeing on the financial news in America, on CNBC, one day, in October of 2008. This occurred as the DOW was experiencing 500 point losses in a day, unprecedented except for during the stock market crash leading to the Great Depression. One of the expert trader/commentators — a person I’d often seen on the show — was being interviewed on the floor of the actual exchange, seeming to be surrounded by evidence of the carnage. There were actual strewn papers and such, just like in the old days, as I remember it, as stocks were tumbling (again!) with such rapidity that even the old call out system was being implemented, for some reason — for certain financial instruments anyway. And there had been the confusion and the outcries, and yes, even the panic that one would expect to see in an old movie about the Stock Market Crash. Our Knowledge Is Biased Indeed, can we assume, in fairness, that our own senses are capable of perceiving all major aspects of “objective” reality, granting, even, if in limited or distorted fashion? By analogy, it would be ridiculous to suppose that an earthworm or an amoeba ... with apparently few, and more limited, senses ... “knows” of the existence of our species in any ways other than, if anything, a series of obstacles, changes in pressure or temperature, or, well, whatever it is that comprises an earthworm’s or amoeba’s “worldview.” Correspondingly, can we automatically assume that our particular number and set of senses, with their particular ranges, are the endpoint, the pinnacle of what is possible in terms of perceiving “world”? For at this point we border on the truly astounding and mind-blowing. All else may be interesting, is no doubt instrumental, is most of it useful; that is, in a practical psychological or spiritual sense. But here is where we “get real.” That phrase will be seen to never have been so true and profound as it is in its applicability here. This third book of Dance of the Seven Veils pulls to the side the final Veil on Naked Reality. We see the soulular, the No-Form State, the face of Ultimate Divinity. And ... we find ... our Original Face, which is discovered to be part and parcel of all of that. Knowing this thing, one knows everything. So this is where we will go in those books. Environmental nay-sayers are arguing that we “fixed” this problem, as part of their stance that we need not worry about what we are doing to the planet. But that is not true. One report, on CNN, had it that the ozone had been depleted by forty percent in the previous two months alone! The reporter announcing it seemed shaken. It was like watching someone be suddenly made aware that developments were unfolding, behind the smoke screen of media denial, that was going to have life-and- death pertinency to the lives of herself and her loved ones. Certainly, this is not the kind of thing normally put on her desk to announce on air. Sure enough, we were not to hear anything more about it. That, along with so much else we never are told about that is directly looming over us. Nor need I elaborate on the nuclear threat — whether precipitated by terrorists, rogue nations, or accident. We know, but do not want to, of the possibility of any one or more of these mad actors employing weapons of mass destruction, possibly leading to ever-mounting rounds of retaliation with eventually no one left standing. Relatedly we push out of our minds the threat of other kinds of weapons — such as biological weapons — getting out of control and creating a worldwide epidemic or holocaust.

VEIL FOUR. PERINATAL SHOCK ... BIRTH TRAUMA Page 16 In Human Activities However, we do not forget this time of contentment, euphoria, and magical expansion of the world. And we try to return to it through many of the actions of our lives: swimming, meditation, and such. We seek out experiences of floating and weightlessness and freedom of movement to counter the feelings of entrapment that came of the stage of suffering in the womb — described in the next two chapters, “Forgetting” and “Hell” — that comes at the end of gestation. At that time we felt confined in flesh, claustrophobic, with no-exit. Remember that in the early stages of our womb lives, described as BPM I states, we are surrounded by flesh as well, but it is not constricting. It is blissful and euphoric. No doubt we create our parties and festivals out of our desires to re-experience such wonderful, comforting feelings. In these situations and events, one moves freely, with people (flesh) at a comfortable distance. Ideally one wishes to be the “life of the party” — in other words, the reason everyone else is there and the person around whom everything else revolves. For such is the case in the early stages of life inside one’s mother, in general. Everything that was going on at that time, around one’s embryonal and fetal selves, biologically speaking for sure, was about oneself; but more: It was about one’s overall happiness and well-being. As they say, it doesn’t get any better than this.
