@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialHis face here, right here, kills me!

@ctmillion.bsky.socialDon’s a little tight?
Helen, honey–my shorts are a little tight after Thanksgiving dinner. Yer man is blotto, stewed, sloshed, schnockered, plowed, plastered, polluted, potted, hammered, three-sheets-to-the-wind, ripped, wrecked, wasted, tanked, totaled, and sh!t-faced drunk! #TheNoirCollective
@queenofnoirs.bsky.socialwait that guy is Scottie! I guess his reporter job, telling the world about aliens, was too much for him

@pmoll.bsky.socialI love how German Expressionism creeps back into Hollywood via noir!

@bitriff.bsky.socialAh the days when hearing aids were bigger than a pack of cigarettes and you had to wear it on your shirt. #TheNoirCollective
@ctmillion.bsky.socialLike his fellow deep-focus master Gregg Toland, John Seitz’s keen knowledge of film lab processes and film stocks allowed him to compose shots like this one from a phone booth, that holds focus all the way across the hotel lobby. #TheNoirCollective #TheLostWeekend
@vanstanwyck.bsky.socialPetition the court to restore it after the watch.
@tommykrasker.bsky.social#TheLostWeekend effortlessly conveys life’s mundane terrors. When Don overhears his potential in-laws lamenting his seeming lack of prospects, Milland beautifully reveals the fear, shame and inner torment of a well-meaning man who’s drowning in self-loathing. #TheNoirCollective
@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialI had looked him up, marked him as a favourite and read some about him and was appreciating him on my own but I still DID NOT KNOW ALL OF THIS!!!
FABULOUS!!! 💜 🎞️🎥 🎬 🎆
