@thepoetjean.bsky.socialA24. I joke to my friends Ari's dad is where he gets his loverboy antics from, and Ari's mother is where Ari gets his steampunk engineering genius. Ari also took in that his parents were essentially childhood sweethearts & wanted that kinda love for himself. His Second Love One. #SongsOfSeptember
@thepoetjean.bsky.socialA24. TOPIC: My MCs parents! His mother was an opera singer turned scientist + his father was a war veteran + hair dresser/barber. They fell in love kinda by accident, & were devoted for the rest of their lives.
SONG: Wedding Song from Hadestown

@skarabraeauthor.bsky.socialHere's one for a leader character:

"Wicked Girls Saving Ourselves" by Seanan McGuire, for my MC, Bethany Ivanoff, a portal fantasy heroine who refuses to be another lost girl
@windykazea.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember: Day 24
Can the main cast as a whole count as 'anyone?' If so, Namurasarera Lineage by Junna. I considered highlighting either Fiona or Ronan since they've only had shared songs, but this one's too perfect. While it really suits the MCs, it honestly reflects everyone well. >.>'~

“Animal I Have Become”- Three Days Grace
Most obvious and literal match for this song would be Dr. Jekyll but it also describes The Mummy in the fourth chapter in my fanfic where he’s high on their version of cold meds and is terrorizing the other Goolies.

This is a song for Kara, the MC of my novella Partners in Crime, which is set a decade after the original Forest of the Morning trilogy. "Broken" / "Brotin" by Eivør.
The lyrics of the English version suit her situation really well but I think the Faroese version...
@princeumin.bsky.socialSwitching to my main project again
Dave release the HQ of this song, I had to chop it out of an ancient upload of this scene its from to listen to it. (linking a marginally higher quality rip)
I associate Butterfly with the FeMC and another character!

This is for Nat and Vola as they cement their friendship in the diner. L&M ch. 5. Vola feeling seen. Nat desperate to be seen. Both not wanting dinner to end.
@scarlettchase.bsky.socialLooking back at a tertiary character that has appearances in my standalone debut & a book in my duet, Celebrate by Pitbull could be his theme song. He's very much a the life of the party type of guy #SongsofSeptember #WriterSky #Romancebooks
@thebrambler13.bsky.socialWe won't meet this character for a long time, but she is a love interest, antagonist and foil for Ata. I think this song fits her pretty well.
I have a name in mind and I think it's one my readers could guess.

@jmweaverauthor.bsky.socialLet's do one for the always well-intentioned Lapis. Our charming Moon God with a bit of zest, a teleporting dagger, and an infinite booze flask! What's not to love? 🤔🥰
👀
@professoremily.bsky.socialThis one I imagine sung to Noah from an important character in #Tenement, but who is a spoiler. If any of my Tenement conspiracy theorists find this, they'll have some ideas of who I mean 😂❤️
Viva la revolución 🏮

Today I'm giving the spotlight to Gabriela. She's Damien's half sister (used to be his half brother, but needed to change her gender for reasons). Anyway, her song is Raise Hell by Dorothy.
@mplbooks.bsky.socialI think No Doubt's "Don't Speak" is a pretty solid song for Cee.
@zprospero.bsky.socialA song for LOF, the Lighter of the Fires of Hell, the First Demon and the closest thing Lucifer has to a dad.
This is also a song for a major character in Book 3 too, but for sort of different reasons.
