Most ravines have a pile of metal
I still do this but use logs, bales and occasionally concrete blocks

At the bottom of this ravine lies the remains of a failed dam
This gully was once a stock lake for watering cattle. Was told it failed in the 1940's during a storm
All that's left is some earth works and old overflow pipe
