Stud defensemen Logan Stanley has signed a 1yr/$1.5M deal with the Islanders, ensuring he doesn't play for #NHLJets this season...now we just have to hope Chevy isn't thinking Bauer is the new Stanley

Nino Niederreiter’s big offensive night may have come just in the nick of time for him.

On the #NHLJets pre-season finale, who and what stood out in Denver and the decisions now on deck.

The IC Hockey Show is LIVE!
With apologies to Noah Kahan, the start of Stick (Regular) Season is next week, so there is plenty of #NHLJets talk to dig into on this morning's show.

Boys are ready; you should be too!

It was a tough night at even strength for the #NHLJets against Colorado, as you can see by Natural Stat Trick.

The D-pairing of Mario Ferraro and Tyrel Bauer had an especially difficult time in Denver.

#NHLJets wrap up the pre-season with a 5-2 loss in Colorado. (Final goal an empty netter)

Niederreiter, Namestnikov: 1G, 1A

Winnipeg went 1-2-1 in these dress rehearsals.

Next: Some team bonding in Colorado Springs, then season opener next Friday vs Boston.

Oof, we in big trouble this year. #nhljets

#NHL Game Score Impact Card for Winnipeg Jets on 2026-09-25:

#GoJetsGo #NHLJets

Vlad Namestnikov helped set up Nino Niederreiter for the 1-0 #NHLJets goal.

Now Niederreiter with a beauty backhand dish to set up Namestnikov for the 2-1 tally midway through the 2nd period in Colorado.

Did we just see Viggo Bjorck QBing a PP from the half-wall?! He was in the middle of everything there and I liked it! #NHLJets

#NHLJets Vlad Namestnikov, who set up Nino Niederreiter's goal with some solid board work, now gets robbed by Mackenzie Blackwood from point blank range. Mario Ferraro with a great feed to him.

#NHLJets Nino Niederreiter has had an eventful first period in Denver.

On the plus side, he scored a nice goal. But he's also taken two penalties, the latter which was not very wise and nullified a Winnipeg power play.

#NHLJets Isak Rosen takes a scary, leg-first tumble into the boards after being interfered with by Gavin Brindley.

He was down for a few seconds but then skates off on his own power, which is pretty remarkable given how he went in.

Nice confident rush by Brad Lambert, who then feathers a backhand pass to a jumping Dylan Samberg for a point blank chance late in the first.

It bears repeating these #NHLJets are playing against the "A" team of Colorado tonight.

1-0 lead, shots 8-4 for Winnipeg.

On the same #NHLJets power play, I really liked some of the directness from Viggo Bjorck as well. He sure looked confident on the flank with the puck. And some solid board work from Namestnikov followed by a good low shot by Pionk.

#NHLJets open the scoring in Denver. Nino Niederreiter with some nifty hands from in tight -- aka where he's most effective -- to bury a rebound on the power play. Neal Pionk and Vlad Namestnikov with the assists.

Nice to get functioning audio from the jump #NHLJets

Here’s the latest edition of The Warm-Up, our game day newsletter for @winnipegfreepress.com to help get you ready for the #NHLJets final exhibition game vs #Avs on Friday night:

Would be something if the #NHLJets decided to claim G Eric Comrie.

The #NHLJets are assigning G Thomas Milic to Manitoba (AHL).

They're also expected to place these four players on waivers.

Isaak Phillips
Parker Ford
Noah Gregor
Nikita Chibrikov

Notable? #NHLJets HC Scott Arniel, when asked about the line of Niederreiter-Namestnikov-Iafallo, immediately responded with:

"What you see tonight may not be what you see next Friday."

Notes some can't play tonight, have already hit 2 games as "vets." Others need a 2nd game.
