Side-by-side local test with the same 8.76-second synthetic MP4. Both videos are fully buffered and asked to seek to 3 seconds. A ignores Range and returns HTTP 200: currentTime and lastSeekedTime are 0, seekable is 0–0. B supports a byte range and returns HTTP 206: both times are 3, seekable is 0–8.76. The screenshots show different video frames. Tested in Codex’s in-app browser with Chrome 154 user agent.
