photo of a red chanterelle mushroom poking up out of brown fallen pine needles with a second tinier babier chantrelle to the right of itphoto of an amanita mushroom growing out of the leaf and pine needle litter. the mushroom is white with lots of little poky spots covering the cap, which is still unfolding and in its very round stage. it's very starkly white against the dark brown substrate and i think it is just a good solid specimen.photo of a delicate yellow mushroom emerging from pine needle litter on top of decayed conifer. the mushroom is fluorescently yellow and just starting to unfold to umbrella stage. it is listing to the side in the same direction as the fallen pine needles, maybe due to some recent rainsphoto of some mature puffball mushrooms among some rocks and soil. they are pale brownish yellow and have their little exit pores for their brown spores in the middle.

I recently visited the #mushroom capital of the world - Kenneth Square, PA - and stopped at the πŸ„ mushroom πŸ„β€πŸŸ« museum. If you love #fungi, this is a must-stop and just up the road from Longwood Gardens. #gardendc #fungifriday

On a recent #WalkInTheWoods I saw several groups of fungi that appeared to have been intentionally damaged, so I was really pleased to find those in the photo below for #FungiFriday, just before the end of my walk.
