Rob's themes for #BirdOfTheDay are any old #Pigeon or bird that happens to be #SittingOnWater. Pigeons are rife in my garden but I spent hours locating a #Robin on water. Managed one, though. Bird bath was a bit dry but it counts. Some other coves swimming, too.

A European Robin perches on a silver dog bowl before deciding to reveal its fluffy bum by dipping down into the water for a drink (top photographs), while a House Sparrow sits on a flat rock as a water pipe pours its content into a small pool that feeds a larger pond. Later the bird decides to drink straight from the clear water as it emerges rather than sitting below in the pond. Choices, choices.

Rusty red shirt and off-grey skirt all set off by the most delicate light brown cardigan with fine details in the patterned "arms". I'm ready for my photoshoot now. Just let me freshen up at this water bowl that the National Trust servants have kindly left here for visitors of the avian and canine persuasion.
