On this day in 1947, unions won us Aussies... the weekend.👍

A 40-hour work week was squished into Monday to Friday and the weekend was born. And if you worked weekends, they also got you those penalty rates.

If your employer is anti-union... you will never win fairness.

We need for working people to be able to form unions! Only 5% of private companies have unions. I survived trying to form unions only to see companies break the law, use violence, lie, threaten people, fire people, falsely arrest people etc! We need a new system thst lets workers win!#Unions
