Given the debate in recent months about the reintroduction of national service, perhaps in addition to the traditional services, (army, RN or RAF), were the UKG to add the RNLI, I'd wager all the so-called patriots would give the #RNLI a major swerve, if they were able to.

At present I don't think the #RNLI is covered under this act:

Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Act of 2018.

They don't seem to qualify as an "emergency worker."

Might give some more protection.
