@snackyd.bsky.socialCasting my gaze still further up the Western standings, I see Seattle (38 pts.) playing the Revs in NE and the Revs are at least as money at home as Colorado.
The point is, the teams around the Timbers play some tough one tomorrow, so the opening is there. Just gotta go thru the open door. #rctid
@snackyd.bsky.socialFiring off Plug 2 for tomorrow’s preview thread.
See inside for notes on #SportingKC.
Wish the vibes were brighter, but I’ll white-knuckling through and root, root, rooting for the home team like always tomorrow.
It’s the games around the Timbers where things get interesting… #MLS #rctid
@outerroses.bsky.socialNew pod out today! We're back after a break to talk about the Timbers heading into the break, what's needed for this team to compete and predictions on going to SKC. Come have a listen below or wherever you get your podcasts! www.buzzsprout.com/924811/episo...
@greenitcolor.bsky.socialPodcast Episode 73 features audio and interviews from the Oregon Youth Soccer Association's Annual General Meeting Awards #RCTID
@dbeffert.bsky.socialTwo things about this interview that stuck out:
Izoita very clear in that while he loves T2, playing first team soccer is his highest priority
Jack sounds like an amazing academy coach. His hire is a real step towards elevating this academy
@snackyd.bsky.socialSo, yeah, this files under must-win for Portland, even if just for dignity. The road ain’t exactly a happy place, so this one’s all about effort and auditioning for the sprint season.
Still not sure what I’ll do about the Galaxy game and Colorado, but it’ll be something… #rctid (9/9)
@snackyd.bsky.socialThe Super-Big No. 1 Thing the Timbers have to do on Saturday: go after the #SportingKC defense from the jump to the final whistle, beyond it if possible. *Never* let up because it breaks. That’s the weak link so keep pushing on it whether by dribble, cross, free kick or fresh legs. #rctid (7/9)
@snackyd.bsky.socialOne big reason for that: 24-y-o Brazilian Andre Luiz. Dude is *very* impressive, keeps the ball tight, ankle-breaking acceleration, real speed. Seattle solved his threat by sticking Nouhou to him.
Does Marti try the same thing with Fory? Can Fory handle that kind of player? #rctid (4/9)
@snackyd.bsky.socialThe first day of the rest of the Portland Timbers’ 2026 season kicks off Saturday – just 7 games left – and, if you’ve banked 3 points for this one…let’s just say it’s tricky.
Portland has been better over their past 10 games, SKC over their past 5. Not much better, tho… #rctid (1/9)
