The #Canes have assigned defenseman Noel Fransen to the /Chicago_Wolves.
Additionally, all five players who cleared waivers earlier today (Brind'Amour, Heimosalmi, Jaaska, Joseph, and Robidas) have also been assigned.

@notwaltruff.bsky.socialW!
The #Canes close out the preseason with a dominant 6-0 win in Nashville.
A really, really strong showing.
Jackson Blake had one goal and two assists, and Brandon Bussi was a perfect 22/22.
Now, it's on to the real thing.
@lasagnazero.bsky.socialWho need CFB Saturday when the #Canes go up by a touchdown on the Preds. Now 6-0 on the Svech PPG!
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialIt's still the preseason after all, but the #Canes are cruising today. ⛴️
@lasagnazero.bsky.socialTaylor Hall quietly posting his 4th preseason assist (so far) in two preseason games for the #Canes.
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialMark Jankowski scores against his former team, and it's now 5-0, #Canes.
Felix Unger Sorum will get the primary helper!
@lasagnazero.bsky.socialI’m guessing that the Preds held this sentiment before two preseason games vs. the #Canes. 🤭
@notwaltruff.bsky.social40 minutes down, 20 (o̶r̶ m̶o̶r̶e̶) to go. 4-0, #Canes.
The defending champs have looked very "business as usual" so far.
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialLogan Stankoven makes it 4-0, #Canes!
After forcing a turnover in the neutral zone, Jackson Blake then sets up the tally with some wonderful deception.
@lasagnazero.bsky.socialSomeone please tell me why the scorebug on the #Canes broadcast on HHN is using a hideous green font for the Preds’ goals and SOG? Last I checked, green is not one of the Preds’ colors. 🧐
@lasagnazero.bsky.socialApparently, the Predators hosted a free 30th anniversary “PredsFest” before today’s preseason game with the #Canes. Flashbacks to those simpler times, but I would not trade for the 2026 Stanley Cup win.
@lasagnazero.bsky.social@notwaltruff.bsky.socialDone with 20 minutes at Bridgestone Arena. 3-0, #Canes.
Nothing rusty about that start!
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialNikolaj Ehlers adds on another, and the #Canes have a three-goal first-period lead in Nashville!
The speed and quick release were on full display there.
@lasagnazero.bsky.social@notwaltruff.bsky.socialJordan Martinook makes it 2-0, #Canes!
The patented Staal line forechecking strikes again.
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialThe #Canes' final exhibition contest is off to a great start, thanks to Jackson Blake! 🎸
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialThe #Canes start the scoring in Nashville with a power play goal!
Brandon Bussi makes a big shorthanded save at one end of the ice, and just seconds later, Jackson Blake cashes in at the other.
@notwaltruff.bsky.socialHere's how the #Canes line up for their preseason finale in Nashville —
