I belong to a librarian's union. So far, it's gotten us better disability benefits from our employer. We're still negotiating other possible benefits. We organized less than a year ago.

Unions BUILT the middle class, providing higher wages, safer workplaces, and real dignity on the job…and I know that firsthand from my own union background in the UAW and IBEW. Working families only get a fair deal when they can stand together, which is exactly why anti-worker interests have spent decades trying to tear organized labor down. In Congress, I will fight to pass the PRO Act to protect the right to organize, penalize union-busters, and mandate that any project funded with federal dollars supports union labor. We must bring good union jobs back to Western Pennsylvania across manufacturing, energy, construction, trades, and tech while expanding apprenticeship programs so our young people can build lasting careers. I’ll be an ally you can rely on to ensure regular, full-quorum NLRB sessions and proper funding for labor courts. And while Mike Kelly sits on over $1M in corporate PAC money, I refuse corporate PAC dollars because my loyalty will ALWAYS belong to the working families who keep our communities strong! 🛠️🇺🇸

On this day in 1947, unions won us Aussies... the weekend.👍

A 40-hour work week was squished into Monday to Friday and the weekend was born. And if you worked weekends, they also got you those penalty rates.

If your employer is anti-union... you will never win fairness.
