I’ve gone with the Alt theme. This Robin caught me taking its photo when I was on a walk with the RSPB Bromley Local Group at Foots Cray meadow in Kent yesterday.

Geoorde fuut - Podiceps nigricollis - in zomerkleed zwemt richting de kijker. De foto is gemaakt vanuit een laag standpunt, maar net boven de waterspiegel en toont het perspectief dat een soortgenoot van dit dier ook zou hebben. De snavel, kop, hals en rug van de vogel zijn zwart met achter het oog, in de oorstreek, een waaier van lange goudgele veren. Het oog van de vogel is vuurrood. De flanken zijn roodbruin.
