Tapas is fucking shutting down are you kidding me!?!?!?!? 😭

Regarding #Tapas shuttering: sometimes it's desirable to be part of a creative company because 'being used' looks the same as 'being needed'. They are not the same.

Tapas closing is wild. I feel awful for the creators who have to find new places to host.

If you need one, I've been hosted on Fables for over a year and love it. The site had been improving near every day and is creator and reader focused.

Ok, so with #Tapas shutting down, which was the only place where my comics (not really "Web Comics" in format, very traditional comics) were stored...

What are other alternatives so I can keep my comics online? Simply Web Toons? What's a good place for traditional comics? Maybe a custom site?

When #Tapas removed their "Free Access" tab back in June, that was the canary turning green. Electricity isn't free, people. I want you to remember this moment when #Bluesky announces their membership service and I'm the only person in the fanbase not calling them sell-outs.

Hey everyone! Since Tapas is apparently shutting down, I figured it was time to stop procrastinating and reupload my previously Tapas-exclusive comic, The Royal Train! #tapas #globalcomicawards

Read it here: www.ag-entertainment.net/media/royal-...

Scary stuff and sorry to those creatives this hurts. 😟

This is why building your own website, controlling your content, and having backups of that content is important!

For folks reading #wakeoftheclash on Tapas, you CAN find us elsewhere in several places: linktr.ee/yoyoyoshiko?...

And for other authors (and readers too if you were only using tapas) looking for places they can host their work, here are a few options I have experience with 🧵

In light?? In spite?? of Tapas shutting down, I uploaded the full prologue of AFoTD to NamiComi! Please check it out! namicomi.com/en/title/txN... #webcomic #Tapas #afotd

Any #tapas authors or creators want to connect here? Share your links to your stories and new platforms if you're moving stuff there. I might just be coping but I feel like if we all stick together through this we can make something beautiful out of a painful time.

Tapas is shuting down, huh? Since I only started posting comics last year, I barely had any reader base here, so this news doesn't hit me as hard.

I'm going to solely focus on Comicfury, which btw has no censorship rules that Tapas had.

Really upset by the new that #Tapas is most likely shutting down. Currently exploring alternatives, including Pinya, Substack, Patreon, or creating my own website.

There are so many stories I want to tell, both in the universe of "Ravik of Xerion" and beyond.

Was out of town yesterday so I didn't get to promote Book of CoL's new update until now. Due to the news about Tapas I am looking for other hosting options for my novels.

Read Book of CoL on #Tapas for free while you can!
