#Spaceshiptember Day 13: Carrier
The Kartan-class' unique lift-catapult mechanism is a noted source of anxiety for novice pilots, but its results speak for themselves: The ship boasts a flattering performance record through its use during the Tremendum, and remains a mainstay in Commission fleets.

Every part of this one screams background props; the kind of thing made en masse to fill out a hanger the viewer isn't really paying attention to because the lead characters are disembarking their super-cool, unique spacecraft (not pictured).

Day 2: Racing!

I added thrusters on sealships.

Spaceshiptember Day 12/13/14: Green/Bandits/Missiles

"Bogeys have been upgraded to bandits on the Hopper's intercept. Three out of three launched on outside of kill parameters. Two minutes until we lithobrake."

Day 14: Asymmetry

In the early days of the Coalition, the largest megacorps of the Consortium, wanting the technology of this small but advanced nation for themselves, pooled their resources and formed a powerful invasion fleet. [Continued]

Day 14: Asymmetry. Back to the blue fleet with a $2 torpedo destroyer. Took me a while to develop this as I hadn't really established a style for this faction. So in the process I went back and redid the corvette, giving both irregular color patches and stripes. #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26

#14 Asymmetry.

The Algonquin-series Salvage Barge from Kartia Orbital Industries is a bulky, heavy ship made for multiple salvage and repair tasks. It features two heavy ion drives, extensive storage mounts, and a latch-drone attached to a crane umbilical.

Ok, getting back on track with #spaceshiptember, but in no particular order.

This fancy, red destroyer carries four 75m long, tungsten rods which it drops from orbit on an (unfortunate) target, usually all at once, in a close cluster formation.

#spaceshiptember

Wanted to try doing spaceshiptember this year with rough sketches to help with the art rut I've been in. Started a bit behind and haven't caught up so I think I'll post what I have then just pick themes to sketch as they come up that motivate me. Days 1-4 Launch, Racing, Red, Tandem #spaceshiptember

#Spaceshiptember Day 12: Thin
The Przedd-class had been intended as an interceptor capable of keeping up with Duchy fighters, but its slim profile saw it perform unexpectedly well as a stealth ship. Saved from its middling performance as a fighter, it found new life as a courier and insertion ship.
