#SFFChat i find it sooo interesting to think about ghosts in the future and how such an ancient concept adapts to technology. How will we conceive of the soul 1000 years from now you know?

#SFFChat A2:
Could be allegorical. Can hold a mirror up to the world. Can be an exploration of the self. Sometimes it might just be the writer wanting to be spooky.
Idk. (Idk i don’t read horror 😆)

Hello #SFFChat
My name is EL, trans masc nonbinary, (they/he) {someone please call me bro or my guy I have been misgendered many times today}
My favorite monster is absolutely werewolves. I don’t have a specific one I favor but I’ve always loved the mythos that surrounds shifters.

#SFFChat my name is Lin, I write queer genre bendy sff, and I love ghosts! I wrote my PhD dissertation on how ghosts get goopy in the 19th century thanks to science.

#SFFChat Q2: What role does horror and/or the monstrous play in SFF?

#SFFChat

Hey, I'm Anna and I write a mix of different stuff. My latest story is a Star Trek spicy fan fic.

I have two favourite monsters.
The first is always Zombies, I love them!
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is my favourite.

And of course the Xenomorph! Alien and Aliens are the best!

Howdy #sffchat I’m Andrew, first time in a long time as I’m juggling work, baby, and multiple writing projects!

I would say my favorite horror monster has to be Moder from The Ritual, but my favorite overall horror movie is probably Alien. Literally perfect movie in my book.

Oh, this question was HARD (I prefer reading horror over watching it 😭), but my favorite horror movie definitely is The Lighthouse.

#SFFChat intro & A1: hi I’m Monti

Um. Favourite monster? Find my the therianthropes.
Favourite horror movie: [watch this space]

Hello #SFFChat! It's spooky month, which means I get to ask spooky questions (I'll do my best to vary things up 🤣).

Q1: Introduce yourself & share your favourite monster or your favourite horror movie (no books/authors)!
