Inbox: Sydney Wathuta loaned to Orange County SC for the duration of the 2026 USL Championship Season. #Rapids96

Austin FC 1-1 Colorado Rapids. Facundo Torres’ 79th-minute equalizer answers Paxten Aaronson’s early goal at Q2 Stadium. A point earned, three still needed — Austin turns around fast for round two this weekend.

Fulltime. 1-1.

Facundo Torres with the equalizer. Fair result. Colorado did good stuff in possession. Austin found space in the attack. Some offsides calls and close calls both ways. Short handed and travel weary, good result for the Pids. Shoutout Donavan Phillip. #Rapids96

86' Rapids subs: Alex Harris and Jackson Travis on. Navarro saves his leg for the next two matches. Darren Yapi off. Better shift from him. Give him a B for everything between the boxes.

Glancing over at the #ATXvCOL match and Facundo Torres was one of my favorite in-MLS solutions for #Rapids96 at wing.

79' Goal Austin. Torres. Scoreline is fair now.

77' What a save by Stuver. Rapids in transition. Yapi chases down a ball. Lays off to Aaronson. Bending shot far post. Saved out for a corner.

0-1 | #Rapids96

69' Second Rapids sub and sub window: Georgi Minoungou on for Donavan Phillip. Decent first start for the MAC Hermann winner. Let's see what Minoungou can do in transition.

0-1 | #Rapids96

62' Yellow card to Reggie Cannon. Foul, stopping a promising play. Cannon will now be suspended for yellow card accumulation on Saturday. Expect former TFC player Kosi Thompson against Montreal.

And then Hanse with a save on Ramirez!

0-1 | #Rapids96

58' Josh Atencio with a dribble and shot over the bar! Colorado's been excellent the last few minutes. Energetic off the ball. Good passing. Night and day from Saturday. A second goal in transition would be huge here.

0-1 | #Rapids96

51' Aaronson free kick. Into the wall.

Austin goes the other way. Hansen with a tekker on Vazquez. Then Colorado gives it away, Hamzat. Holding with a header to concede a corner. Playing with fire.

0-1 | #Rapids96

46' The second half has begun. Austin made some subs at the break. Bit of a delay it looked like with Colorado coming out of the locker room second. No Rapids subs at half.

0-1 | #Rapids96

Halftime. 0-1 thanks to *Paxten Aaronson.

Colorado Rapids started slowly. Lucky Gallagher's goal got called back. Phillip with some half changes. Defense has been good, organized. Maziz went off injured. They can play in transition in 2nd half. So far, good enough. #Rapids96

45+3’ Atencio hammers Gallagher and gets a yellow.

Insert joke about mallets and watermelons here.

#Rapids96

45' Rapids defend two dangerous corners for Austin. Holding with a defensive header concede a second corner. On the second one, Desler tries a Keegan Rosenberry. Over the bar.

0-1 | #Rapids96

27' Rapids sub: Youssef Maziz subbed out during the hydration break with an injury. Josh Atencio on. That's tough. Will ask postgame.
