After a stormy day on St. John, we walked down from Estate Lindholm to Honeymoon Beach. No road to it... you walk the Lind Point Trail in or come by boat. 59mm at f/13, a tenth of a second, handheld. Waves blur, rock stays put.

Dark rock outcrops rise from a sand beach across the right and center of the image, their surfaces studded with embedded pale stones and split by deep vertical fractures. Incoming surf has been smoothed by a long exposure into white mist washing around their bases. Pale turquoise water fills the left and deepens toward a low green island on the horizon, with a larger hazy headland beyond it. Overcast gray sky covers the upper half, and leafy branches hang in from the upper right corner.

Seatle's ferris wheel as seen from the view overlooking the new Over Look Park. it's a big walkway/path/park that links Seattle's Pike Place Mark with the waterfront. The stadiums are in the back left and the water is back right. The wheel was light up purple and gold for University of Washington Huskies.
