Latest Met Office data holds most of the showers further East Fri - while ECMWF keeps activity closer to us and just up the coast and inland, with some thunder and one to keep an eye on.
Showers still expected this weekend.

Earlier posts about Friday's showers mentioned the uncertainty/ fluctuations in forecasts, and gradually they have dumbed down the activity especially the Met Office/ UKMO - compared to the signal we had earlier in the week.

#Gibraltar #Weather - 01/10 - for this evening/ tonight - hazy sunshine still this evening - high cloud tending to clear while increasing low cloud developing as winds settle to a muggier Easterly, with some misty low cloud or a risk of any fog. Perhaps the risk of some drizzle/ a shower later, 21C.

A fine and bright start to October and a warm one with high cloud and Saharan dust giving hazy sunshine. A low risk of any sea fog developing in the area later.
West to Southwesterly winds becoming more variable and may swing East to Southeasterly, around 27C.

#Gibraltar - 6am, 01/10 - it's been a mostly clear night with some patchy high cloud and, while a very warm night bringing us into Oct, winds settled Westerly as forecast pulling in a less humid flow - the temperature is currently 23C but with humidity down to 60% in a gentle Southwesterly.

#Gibraltar - 30/09 - after a very muggy night with misty low cloud and fog, this cleared quickly thanks to a Westerly wind, leaving a day of hazy sunshine with plenty of high cloud & Saharan dust. Winds flipping Easterly, feeling very warm for the last day of September. Max 28.1C

Solar halos are formed by refraction of the sunlight in the ice crystals of high cirrus clouds like we've had throughout today.

#Gibraltar - 30/09 - a gorgeous view of the Rock from #LaLinea this afternoon with those hazy cirrus skies and feeling very warm in the light to gentle Easterly - at 3:30pm, it's reached 26C so far at the Airport, but 27.7C on the MeteoGib Weather Station.

#Gibraltar - 30/09 - overnight misty low cloud was soon pushed away by the light to gentle Westerly, with mainly high cloud and #SaharanDust giving hazy sunshine - with this earlier view of the Rock - at midday, winds have now flipped Easterly with a muggy 24C.

We have an increase in Saharan dust today pushing N across parts of Iberia including the local area - expect some haziness/ calima skies - dusty rain possible with any showers over the peninsula, more especially to the NE.
