The second exciting thing yesterday is that I made a pen!

Lee Valley let me use power tools I had never even seen before (drill press! lathe!) to transform a little piece of wood into a beautiful pen, and I love it!

Made this bag last week, and the sensory joy of it was immense. The hot pink section is my fave - fuzzy with mohair and super bright!! Leather straps arrive later today!

Two 1” pendants rest on a woman’s palm. Both are thread-wrapped designs in lime green, deep fuschia, and teal. One is worked over a copper washer, and the other over silver. Both have a brass hexagon in the centre with a Magen David in the same colours.

So many incredible artifacts like this 1860s lace bobbin loom.

Here's the annual group shot of my Paris Agricultural Society Fair award winners!

Only comments were on my shawl ("Lovely!") and the beetle cowl ("Very nice").

For context, I had 29 entries. About half didn't place at all, but it's still fun to try.
