So Friede caught it, one evolution led to another, and that's How I Met Your Mother─I mean, Charizard. #anipoke

Either that Charmander shared the same dream, or it was just a case of "Mankey see Mankey do", and Friede just went with it. #anipoke

Suddenly, a curious Charmander crossed his path...and wanted his goggles like we're in early Naruto or something. #anipoke

So I had no idea he wanted to be a pilot at first. #anipoke

Then we finally, after all this time, got into the story on how Friede and his Charizard met.

It all happened back in middle school...

HEY IT'S RED─I mean..."Gota", apparently? Who can't catch a Fletchling to save his life? #anipoke

OH OF ALL THE COINCIDENCES

I'll never forget that one Shellder Toy I got from Burger King when I was a kid back when they were doing a Pokémon promotion. #anipoke

Hey, I remember you! You got Mallow drunk in Sun & Moon! #anipoke

Now this is how I know this was a mini Pokémon GO ad with all the PokéStops. #anipoke

You're telling me Ult can't catch a land Tentacool? Skill issue. #anipoke

They basically played a mobile version of the Safari Zone in the first half of the episode. #anipoke

I was trying to figure out what Pokémon game this professor was from; turns out, it's Pokémon GO. Shows how much that game has escaped me. #anipoke

This Week in #Anipoke: You know something? Despite all the directionless filler we've had lately, this was actually a pretty good episode this week.

And I forgot that Navi and Friede were yet to meet each other until now.

“when the time comes, the pokemon will find you”

they achieved their dream together 🥹

Yeah that was great. Good episode. #anipoke horizons 150

More of Orio's past too please. And Molly's. #anipoke horizons 150

The anniversary was back in July when Navi was introduced but having the celebration 8 episodes later was a good idea. Including the backstory for how Friede and Lizardon met was a *great* idea. I love what they've been doing with Friede throughout the show. #anipoke horizons 150

Really fun episode! Needed to be a bit more urban and have a companion app on the kids' phones to be nostalgic for me, but at the same time I'm glad it wasn't shoehorned in. As a 10th anniversary of Pokemon GO this worked really well. #anipoke horizons 150

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS #anipoke horizons 150
