Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person (2023) 🎬

Loved this. Such a cool film! Got sucked into that world straight away—and what a world it was.
The family dynamic, the story, the cinematography, the vibe! Absolutely brilliant.

Cujo (1983) 🎬

The story is way more fleshed out than I expected! It doesn’t just rush straight into the horror. Building up the family drama makes it hit way harder when they finally get trapped in that car. Excellent tension, great pacing, & Dee Wallace is spectacular.

#55 The Rohl Farms Haunting

Much like my previous watch, a super indie movie that didn't full land for me, but I appreciate what the filmmakers were trying to do.

#56 Mr. Buzzkill

A young man, tormented by abuse, takes his revenge. Now years later, a group of friends gather only to discover Mr. Buzzkill is not just a legend.

I appreciate an indie movie, this one didn't land.

#57 The Good Neighbor

A pair of high schoolers create the illusion of a haunting on a neighbor.

There was a good film in this, but it didn’t get there. Solid concept that wasn't backed by the script but good performances.

House of Usher (1960) 🎬

Roger Corman’s first Poe adaptation is a feast for the eyes! The rich, vibrant colours are incredible. The crumbling settings, creepy fog, and lavish costumes create the ultimate haunted house vibe. Plus, blonde Vincent Price is such a vibe.

The Witches (1990) 🎬

Anjelica Huston was born for this. Elegant, fierce & having the time of her life.
The practical effects by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop are incredible, creepy & beautifully crafted.
A dark, wicked classic today’s kids wouldn’t be allowed to watch!
