Happy to see a funding commitment from the NDP on this! It's been sitting vacant for something like six years now, and we haven't come close to building anything since Council killed the last proposal in 2011.

Congrats to @dianagibson.bsky.social for her successful advocacy!

Did you know we have an oceanfront dump in James Bay in Victoria? It’s on private property, so there’s nothing we can do about it. It smells awful, leaks an unknown fluid that smells like a combo of poop & vomit that drains into the ground. Not to mention — rats. Don’t we have bylaws? #yyj #yyjpoli

It's Fire Prevention Week. With climate-change induced wildfires, safety is on people's minds. You can reduce fire risks at home with safe charging. Somequick tips:
• Use manufacturer-approved cords.
• Charge on hard, flat surfaces (no beds or couches!)
• Unplug devices once charged #FPW2026 #yyj

You're a strong li'l sprout!
You've got this day by the tail.
Hope it's great and swift. 🌲💚

This haiku is brought to you by my #yyj #positivitree. Happy Monday! =)

Photo of a treetop in front of a blue sky. In the sky, a haiku:

"You're a strong li'l sprout!
You've got this day by the tail.
Hope it's great and swift."

Just above the centre tree, a speech bubble with the words, "Happy Monday!"

Proud of my project this afternoon. It’s an evergreen clematis vine with twine guides to train it up the deck and a cage to protect it from the greedy bastar… deer.
