@njemurray.bsky.socialMaddie Maves (Snohomish United), Venina Moodie (@oaklandsoul.bsky.social), Mia Corona (Santa Clarita Blue Heat) and Amari Manning (Morris Elite SC) all logged regular minutes in the #USL-W this summer. An illustration of how the league isn't just for college players, but emerging talent too.
@njemurray.bsky.socialDallas Trinity FC's Meila Brewer and four players who competed in the past #USL-W season have been named in the #USWNT U-17s squad for next month's World Cup in Morocco.
@njemurray.bsky.socialIt says something about the growth of the #USL-C there are now multiple players going against each other in #AFCON Qualifying, as well as the call-ups elsewhere in Concacaf and Asia.
Players see it as a viable option to either maintain their national team careers, or find a pathway there.
@njemurray.bsky.socialNotable #USL-C linked game coming up in #AFCON Qualifying.
Phanuel Kavita (Birmingham Legion) and Jojea Kwizera (Rhode Island FC) start for Rwanda, Peter Wilson (Oakland Roots) and Jimmy Farkarlun (El Paso Locomotive) subs for Liberia at 12 p.m. ET on BeIN Sports.
@njemurray.bsky.socialBoth AC Boise and One Knoxville SC can clinch #USL-1 Playoffs berths this weekend, plus @unionomaha.bsky.social has a pathway to clinching a top-four seed.
Find out how, plus other notable records and landmarks around the league.
@njemurray.bsky.socialThere's a full day - literally, it kicks off at 2 p.m. ET - of #USL-1 action on Saturday plus a primetime game on ESPN2 on Sunday.
@benleeds.bsky.social has your preview, with Corpus Christi FC's clash with Athletic Club Boise the main attraction.
@njemurray.bsky.socialNew Mexico's underlying numbers have been a worry-point for me as the season's progressed. Clubs can overcome being in the red when it comes to xGD, xP, etc. - last year North Carolina had a -9.62xGD mark and hosted a playoff game - but it can make you hesitant to predict playoff success. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialAs a reminder, El Paso Locomotive FC, @detcityfc.com, Hartford Athletic and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC could earn #USL-C Playoffs berths this weekend, and the @tampabayrowdies.bsky.social could earn a top-four spot in the East.
Here's how, plus much more.

@njemurray.bsky.socialThere's an 11-game slate of games in the #USL-C this weekend, starting tonight.
I'm most intrigued by New Mexico United hosting Sacramento Republic FC. Find out why, and what else you should keep an eye on across the league.
@christopherhpike.bsky.socialWhat name to choose for the new #USL football team in Rhode Island?
Breakers? Undertow? Never Ending Construction?
@unitedbythenumbers.comWhat happens behind the scenes when a player is out of contract? Marlon Vargas (#8 and #18) shed some light on his experience in 2024 in the time between his loan from Colorado Rapids 2 ending and his re-signing with New Mexico United. #USL-C #NewMexicoUnited
@njemurray.bsky.socialEl Paso Locomotive FC's Noah Dollenmayer with the shot that gets blocked before Rosario's finish to win it. #USL-C #CNL
@christopherhpike.bsky.socialRhode Island Breakers. I hope so.
@njemurray.bsky.social"We always joke that the spreadsheets resoundingly told us, ‘Don't do this.' ... I never forget Pete [Trevisani] saying, ‘Ron, sometimes you’ve just got to ignore the spreadsheets."
How did New Mexico United become a #USL-C phenomenon? Let Ron Patel explain.

@njemurray.bsky.socialOCSC is 21st in the #USL-C with a 42.27xGA and -11.05xGD. It can still make the playoffs with five games to go, but it probably had to pull the parachute ripcord now to have a chance, because this didn't seem like it had a chance to get better.
@njemurray.bsky.socialA thought on Danny Stone's exit from Orange County SC. It's possible to succeed with the deep-lying, counterattacking style he was looking for, but it got too extreme and defensively too stagnant by the end for the dam not to break. #USL-C
@christopherhpike.bsky.socialHoping Mike Repole names the new USL football team the Rhode Island Breakers.
@njemurray.bsky.socialOrange County SC has parted ways with Head Coach Danny Stone, appointing Dekel Keinan as interim Head Coach for the remainder of the #USL-C season.
Stone posted a 25-21-22 record in the USL-C with OCSC since his appointment midway through the 2024 season.
@njemurray.bsky.socialFormer @unionomaha.bsky.social HC Jay Mims is used to building a project.
His latest is with the Puerto Rico Men's National Team, which is aiming to make its next breakthrough in this fall's Concacaf Nations League, with #USL-C and #USL-1 players in tow.
@njemurray.bsky.socialSo, now we're up to a round 50 players across 29 countries from the #USL-C and #USL-1 on national team duty, adding... Palestine - Ahmad Al-Qaq (Sporting Club Jacksonville) Puerto Rico - Aleksei Armas (Westchester SC) Yemen - Harwan Al Zubaidi (Miami FC)
