I mean, it was inevitable that I'd throw a Nightwish song on here. 😋

@stevewestenra.bsky.social#SongsofSeptember Day 25: Uplifting Song
There's a lot of pop on the playlist, but in terms of a song that's actually uplifting in the context of the story, I'd say Abba's “Chiquitita,” or "Thank You For the Music"! Both feel very suited to this prompt game, haha
@lillostkitten.comLeading on from the climactic battle described earlier, Anna specifically tracks down her tormentor. She has questions & a need to understand why she went through what she did. Poe's "Control": youtu.be/5pZmT6e7K3g?... describes the build-up & crux of this brief, dark encounter.

@stevewestenra.bsky.social#SongsofSeptember Day 24:
I have so many songs for characters I've already mentioned, but I'll go with Fleetwood Mac's "Sisters of the Moon," which works both for some main character situations as well as the literal club called the Sisters of the Moon 🤣: link.deezer.com/s/34vuUpxkLL...

Razzle Dazzle Rose. It's Finn's song. If there were to describe him, it would be this song. It's also the song I want played at my funeral.

I mentioned earlier in the month that there was another song I wrote lyrics for that might show up later. This is that track. A duet between Marin and the antag Mako~
Lyrics below! (With parts properly marked~)

A threefer for today, one for each of the MCs. They're all dealing with similar shit - trauma, loss, fear - and they all react to it slightly differently.
Mira? Her whole life's been flipped, but she's a fighter and she'll face it head on. Has to be Skunk Anansie.
@bumblebigirl.bsky.socialDido wants to believe there's something better waiting for her at the end of the story. Dee only believes in the cold, hard edifice of reality. Which viewpoint wins out?

Grace vs. Artasia
Gotta go with With Me from Sonic And The Black Knight
youtu.be/ruyVFY0OUzc?...
The dynamic of the 2 is very similar to the dynamic of Sonic against The Dark Queen during the boss that this song plays in, it's so good.
@solarisstory.bsky.socialI only have a handful of Scottish groups in my book playlist. I should fix that!
But for this we have 'Recover' by Churches. The Paolo Nutini live lounge cover would also work.
@averyaldan.bsky.socialThe final battle in Juniper Wharf is between Ruby (and a few allies) against [REDACTED], so have this song which is fitting!
The song title also holds a clue 👀
@sainiku.northsky.socialI've been waiting for this!
A huge epic fight at the end of the final book.
Everyone Loves A Villain - Eater Of Worlds
Absolute banger. I love this song.
"Look at what you've created."
"The rage and the love in my madness."
@nikibond.bsky.socialI've technically shared two songs that fit this already with Entertain You and One Hell of a Team, so uhhhh... I'm gonna do two. >.>'~
The first one is Take Control by NateWantsToBattle, and I feel like it kinda fits for Emily vs. Orkus~
@nikibond.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember Day 26
Let's Duet: A song that fits the MC vs. the antagonist.
It doesn't have to be a duet song, so just have fun with it~ It could be something that fits lyrically, a boss battle theme, or something that just fits the tension between them~
Don't forget to tag!
@zipperwayland.bsky.sociali've missed a few #songsofseptember but still following along! here's a song i often put on playlists for my trans characters, but it's a particularly good fit for Margo. youtu.be/Le1KxtyRVqc?...
@zadafalcon.bsky.social25) Uplifting Song
Don't have many songs on my playlist that I haven't posted! I think this one fits the bill. I think it's uplifting.
"Invincible" - Pet Benatar
@aminaleeds.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember 25. Uplifting song on playlist and why it's there?
Uh... This is the most upbeat song on the entire Playlist. There isn't a big reason except that I was vibing on it while writing
Benson Boone "Beautiful Things"
@queensbookasylum.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember Day 25
Hahahaha ha... Uplifting song... Sure... Uh... I used I'll Be There before which is the most fitting on my playlist, so I'll go for the second, Love Like That by Phillip Phillips. Inkfeather is not an uplifting kind of story in general, I'm afraid.
@quentinbyale.bsky.social#SongsOfSeptember Day 25
This was a fun one: “Up, Up, and Away” by Fifth Dimension. But I actually use this version of the song because it actually inspired a scene in my fanfic where Imhotep actually sings this song. And this is actually what his voice would sound like!
@lillostkitten.comI admit it's been hard to find 'uplifting' tunes on our playlist, as subtly downbeat, defiant or vengeful is mostly the vibe. But there are a couple escapist dance tunes on there, so here's Euphoria ft. Kristy's "Too Beautiful": youtu.be/Uv_m-FHSdXc?..., which is both hype & cute!
