My goal as a writer:

Create a story that's enjoyable enough for people to keep wanting more of it

I started my writing career as a fan-fic writer on wattpad back in 2013/14. I want to inspire others to make fan-fiction so they can become better writers

I'm a prolific daydreamer. Imagining nonsense daily was always gonna end up as writing nonsense down. Writing helps me tighten my focus, organise my thoughts, and it's fun, is the heart of it! I love what I've written, and it'd be cool to find others who like th same sort of nonsense!

I'd be miserable otherwise. I gotta be doing something creative with me brain, that's how I'm wired. There's always a bit of the ol' grey matter that's thinking up nonsense. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have somewhere to put that.

The honest answer: therapy. I have Alexithymia so I don't know how I feel. Externalizing it helps processing.

But I see it like a steam engine. I burned grief to draft "Hell Is Work" and shame to make "Good Boys Don't Howl".

Emotions are energy. Use it.

I used to want to be a professional writer but I gave that up a long time ago. Now? Sometimes it's because I have a story in my head I want to get out or something I want to say, other times it's because there's a world I want to explore, sometimes I just want to amuse myself.

Honestly, b/c I've always wanted to tell incredible stories and writing is fun for me. Culturally, the American South has a long tradition of storytelling and it left a strong impression on me. From a very young age, I wanted to be an author. Making it happen will come in due time. #pretendpanel

My brother and I have always written, building a shared lore. First comic books in notebooks. Then I moved on to pure writing in my teens because my drawing skills are limited. I'm trying to get back into it though. Stories come to me naturally, so why not write 'em down?
