If she had to go to bed soon and suffer through half-sleep and nightmares, she may as well try to have some results to show for the evening. She thumbed through the yellow paper cover, depicting a young half-elven woman strumming a harp as she rested in a field. Motes and threads of colored light swirled around her as she looked up hopefully at the sky. Cunningham’s Heart of Eitos: A young witch’s primer, was etched in a flowing elven font across the top. She sighed. A primer. For kids. Wasn’t she past this? Why was she having to start, not only at the beginning, but at square fucking one? Why couldn’t she get it together?
