After a decade of managing fear the only way he found that worked — a drink to walk out on stage, a drink to come back down. It carried him further than it should have, for longer than it should have.

On this day in 1980, that arrangement finally ran out of road. #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐 #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸💔💔

John Bonham's tragic death on this day in 1980 marked the end of Led Zeppelin as a band. His influence can be heard in countless drummers who cite him as an inspiration. He didn’t just play the drums—he was the rhythm that gave Led Zeppelin its heart and soul. 💔💔 #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐 #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸

Apparently one of their first shows wasn't received that well. #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸 #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐

In the early days of Led Zeppelin, when going from gig to gig, their van ran out of gas. Robert Plant sighoned it from another car. It probably wasn't the last time. #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸 #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐

I confess, I'm into double digits on how many times I've watched this. #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸 #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐

Jimmy Page - 82 years old
Senile Satan - 80 years old
RFK, Jr. - only 72 years old

FWIW, sex, drugs and rock and roll must be the key.

For the record, Senile Satan has to pay for sex. I don't know how leatherface ever got laid except for the Kennedy name.

Of course Mama has a Bonzo Bowler and #BonzoTheCat 🐈‍⬛ has a tiny bowler. My closet has a separate section for Led Zeppelin, weed shirts and regular clothes . The Zeppelin section is the largest. Go figure. #LedZeppelin 🎸🎸 #RIPJohnBonham 🥁🐐
