Congrats for Verifying GRIEF!

I heard my dad's voice this morning.I'm so afraid I'll forget what he sounded like. #parentloss #grief
I expect to miss them on birthdays. What surprises me is the ordinary day: a funny line, a song, something I wish I could call and tell them.
Today isnβt an anniversary. Itβs just a day I miss them.
Art: Renoir, Luncheon of the Boating Party (1880β81), The Phillips Collection.

I wish I had more of them, but I can accept rarity as long as it keeps coming with quality.
I haven't been remembering a lot of dreams in general this year, so it's nice that these have been the most vivid and have stayed with me.

I'd just been thinking last night that I wished Raq would haunt me. Dreams are a close next-best to haunting. Especially as long as my brain keeps acknowledging that they're gone/have been gone, so I can appreciate them as little gifts, not hate them for tormenting me with what I don't have.

Funnily enough, I woke up as I was writing something on here about how life was weirder than I ever could have imagined, but that I was pretty damn lucky. From the way I was wording it, I can't tell which secret I was keeping from people online.

And I was keeping their death a secret from the people who knew they were still here.
I'm not entirely sure I hadn't spent some time keeping it a secret from Raq, even.
I think they were some kind of zombie/undead, but it wasn't obvious. They were just, them.

Just woke up from the oddest and kind of funniest dream I've had about Raq since they passed.
They'd died, but they'd come back somehow - we hadn't figured out how/why/as what in any detail yet.
I can't remember now exactly who knew what, but I know I was keeping them a secret from some.

I just miss my brother so much, and with the 8th being the day I lost my actual brother, these next few days are just incredibly difficult for me. #grief #loss #brotherhood #BattleBuddy #memories ποΈπ
