Excited to say that I'm returning to the Game Accessibility Conference (US edition), chatting about 3 notable releases in 2026 for gamers without sight!
What games do you think I'm going to be talking about?

I’ve been banging the drum about *not* using ARIA menu roles for site navigation for nearly a decade.

I’ve just updated my 2017 post with what has become my general point-by-point refutation when I see them proposed:

Somehow this happened! Tomorrow: celebrating 30 years of my law office, commonly known as LFLegal and a fancy way of saying I've worked for myself from my upstairs bedroom for 3 decades. So much gratitude to so many people. #DigitalAccessibilityEthics #disability #a11y #accessibility.

#A11y question about #ScreenReader

Is it best practice to insert punctuation when using aria-describedby/labelledby with multiple IDs, when the referenced content has no comma or full stop at the end?

2 approaches I’ve seen so far down below ⬇️

💬 No accessibility for old men – endless tour

I have found a new appetite for talking about #accessibility, #webStandards, #W3C, the #a11y industry, web accessibility history, #AI etc...

Are we preventing errors, or making users pay for them? Nat Tarnoff explores WCAG 3.3.4 and why error prevention matters.

Relying on placeholder text alone in form fields creates barriers. It disappears as users type and may not be announced clearly by screen readers.

Use persistent labels (<label> elements) so field purpose is always clear.

WebAIM (web accessibility in mind) logo. Quick Tip: Avoid placeholder-only form labels. Form fields with placeholder-only labels. A “no” symbol overlays the improper form fields.

La conformité suffit-elle à garantir une bonne expérience ?

Un site web conforme peut rester difficile à utiliser pour certaines personnes handicapées.

C’est pourquoi il est intéressant d’évaluer l’utilisabilité de votre interface :

My accessibility mistake became an inclusive design lesson. Sometimes getting it wrong is how we learn to design better.

Stupid #a11y question: if multiple images form a logo and I wrap these `img` elements in a `div` with `role='img'` and an `aria-label`, do I still need to set an empty `alt` on the `img` elements?
