This week's first "Drive to Work" podcast (#1379) is another in my "Fresh Out of Design" series where I record a podcast right after I handed off the design file. Today's is, obviously, about Reality Fracture: share.transistor.fm/s/14e9d16d audio.transistor.fm/m/shows/2145... #mtgdtw #WotCStaff
Guess who put the Yuri in Yuriko? :) #wotcstaff
Legends of Reality Fracture article has been updated based on yesterday's previews! There are still more to come next week.
I loved working on Reality Fracture for many reasons. The Echoed Pairs holds a special place in my heart.

Hi!
1. Yes. If the creatures a player controls have power 2, 4, 5, and 5, then 5 is the greatest power among those creatures. Either creature with power 5 dying will cause Kraven's ability to trigger.
2. Three cards, for the same reason.

It makes sense.
After all, she’s just Tam now because da mira…

Today's #mtgtrivia question:
I led the designs for Innistrad, Tempest, Odyssey, Ravnica, and Dominaria. Who was the one designer on all those teams with me?
The original one is looking for an object to be cast that no longer exists. That activated ability isn't going anywhere (provided the land doesn't go anywhere). #WotCstaff
It does. Emrakul wasn't cast, so the duration hasn't expired. #WotCstaff
if you make a kuo-toa pc with these rules please share with me your abomination familiar mashups please and thank you #wotcstaff
Folks who know how the hell I got into even making Magic content way back when know that today is a HUGE deal in story.
Yes. There would’ve been a 30 part MTG Abridged. The #MTGFracture has been rolling around in my brain for months.
Happy Vorthos Day

What horror fans will make of Reality Fracture Winter VS What I, a horror fan, will make of Reality Fracture Winter.
It just occurred to me that:
1.) "Mox" and "Opal" are both real last names.
2.) Hyphenated names exist.
3.) Some parents name their children after favorite characters.
I'm not saying it'd happen...but a baby named "Jace Mox-Opal" isn't impossible.
If you need to catch up or start, the first eight episodes are linked here: magic.wizards.com/en/story
Audiobook options embedded within each episode.
Today's #mtgtrivia question:
Innistrad has five ally-colored typal themes. Which of the five was the last added to the set in design?
Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:
Double-faced cards were inspired by the double-faced cards in Duel Masters, a TCG we make for the Japanese market.
I haven’t posted about Magic Design in a long time but I worked really hard on #mtgfracture and I’m very proud of the set (especially limited) so I might be a bit insufferable and post a bunch of fun facts about the cards once we get the full spoiler. #wotcstaff
The legends of reality fracture article is out! I helped with this, though none of mine have been spoiled (yet). Just wait until you see the rest of the legends! #wotcstaff
