Not sure who’s the good twin and who’s the bad twin? Slinky black lace robe = bad!
Pretty seamless shot of Bonita Granville as both Linda and Estelle. Kudos to Howard Anderson for the special effects.

They're twins. Now I starting to hear the theme song from the "Patty Duke Show" in my head.

I don't know why it's taken me this long to realize it, but Bonita Granville has an excellent nose.
Temu Clark Gable, but I love him!

They looked alike because they’re twins?! Who woulda thunk it?
I love how much exposition is crammed into the first 10 minutes of this movie – and how expertly it’s done. You get to know these characters in every manner: mournful voice-over, barroom therapy, informal introductions, family squabbles. Savvy little screenplay. 👍 #TheNoirCollective #TheGuilty
FLASHBACK TIME!
You have to love this "The Blue Dahlia" like roommate situation.

Castle, producer Jack Wrather, director John Reinhardt & screenwriter Robert Presnell were all returning vets so Dixon’s PTSD makes sense.
Interestingly, #TheGuilty went into production in 1946, just as The Best Years of Our Lives, which drew attention to PTSD, hit theaters.

I was cheering them in my living room too! 😄 #TheGuilty #TheNoirCollective
Dixon’s PTSD wasn’t in Woolrich’s original 1941 story. But shell-shocked vets as tortured souls appear frequently in post-war film noir.
“I guess that’s the way it is with guys who’ve been in the war together. We put up with a lot of things without knowing why.”
