9/11 is a heavy subject. There's a lot of good and plenty of bad. I will honor the heroes who have their life, but ultimately this is a writing post.

I edited two more chapters and continue to work on the MMM Short offline. Eyeballing Monday for TANK.

We're onto the back half of the week. Having only a four day work week this week helps. TANK had two more chapters edited. I'm tentatively looking at Monday to begin release. I also tinkered with the MMM Short that will be in the next omnibus.

The first book was SO good! Book two is an immediate pre-order. @rachel-aaron.bsky.social and @travisbach.bsky.social really nailed this series in terms of world-building, characters, and vibes. It's great all the way down. #Booksky #LitRPG #🪐📚

Well let's see here. Yesterday, I edited two more chapters in TANK, started a new Facebook group, and worked on the MMM Short a bit. Had an interesting question too. TANK is the official title while MMM is an acronym. I can see how this is confusing...

#WIPSnips for Sept. 9 is 'rig'
...
...
...
OK, yet another one not found in the #mythic fantasy, nor the #mermaid epic, nor even the #litRPG...

Well then, it's back to the #YAFantasy with 'rigging'. Pizza Princesses, go!

snippet from episode 8 of Princesses of the Pizza Parlor, 'Princesses on the Broken Sea' the word 'rigging' is highlighted -- The rough, scaly form was nearly three times her size, with ridges of long, fringelike growths running down its spine. Its tail was thick and fat at the base, only to immediately go skinny and ratlike all the way to the tip. The hissing grew louder, the beast's mouth cracked open wide, and Selvi jumped in anticipation of something vile shooting from its throat. "Alatakk!" The battle cry of a mouser was high and shrill in comparison to the beast's, but no less fierce for it. A tiny grey body dropped from the rigging to bury a knife in the thing's shoulder.

#WIPSnips for Sept. 9 is 'mental'

Another that won't show up in the #mythic fantasy
Not laying bets on the #mermaid epic, either

Let's look at the #LitRPG this time...
Yup, great, gotta discuss stats

excerpt from 'Vainglorious: Long Is The Night' by Maikel Yarimizu the word 'mental' is highlighted -- “Take a moment, relax, have a candy bar,” Stan advised from over the earbuds. “You should heal up pretty quickly. One of the perks of the video game lifestyle.” “I could do without it most of the time,” she griped. “Please tell me I leveled up from all this... Ah.” A chime had rung from her phone, and some part of her memory suggested that it wasn’t for the first time in the past few minutes. She’d been far too busy to pay attention to the notifications, though. When she checked them now, it was to find that she had gained three levels, in fact, with nine dots of light to spend. “What to do, what to do... For that matter, what exactly does the Head stat do again?” “Mental attributes.” “Yeah, but what does that cover? Like...” She pondered for a moment. “The Contessa’s got some sort of mind trick going on. Like, she definitely had a whammy on Carla, and it was hard to move or speak when she wanted me to listen quietly. Would putting points into the Head stat help fix that?” She didn’t wait for the reply. With a swipe and a tap of her phone screen, she assigned five points to the box representing her own cranium. “Okay, there... we... grg... ugh...” “Mistral? Mistral!” “I... I’m fine,” she lied. At that moment, her head felt like every ounce of blood in her body was now rushing through it, combined with the mother of all ice cream headaches. Her entire body went limp for a moment as she drooled onto the mausoleum wall. “Ooogh... Note to self: try not to add too many points at once.”
